Lindsey Usry has been a dedicated member of the Blueprint team for quite some time. She currently serves as the Commissary Lead at Blueprint Coffee.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT THE CAFÉ, AND WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE JOB?
My job title is Commissary Lead. I work to develop the current food program for the company, prepare the pastries, and do quality control for all three cafes. My favorite part about this position is getting to feed the communities. I love working with food and offering something that provides comfort and accessibility while also being delicious.
I became extremely invested in food when I was diagnosed with a colon disease years ago, which has forced me into taking care of how I cook for myself. My life is centered around what and how I eat, and has created a passion to show folks that food can taste good while also making you feel good.

WHAT PROMPTED YOUR INTEREST IN COFFEE?
I grew up in a coffee-loving family- my brother first got a job in the industry which inspired me to get more involved.
IF YOU COULD ENJOY A CUP OF COFFEE WITH ANYONE IN THE WORLD, WHO WOULD IT BE?
If I could have coffee with anybody, it would be Willem Dafoe - because who wouldn't want to chat it up with that hottie!
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO COFFEE ORDER AT BLUEPRINT?
My go-to drink of choice is a shot of espresso with a drip coffee.
WHAT ARE YOUR PASSIONS OUTSIDE OF COFFEE?
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time outdoors and cooking.
HOPES, DREAMS, DESIRES FOR THE FUTURE?
I look forward to having a full kitchen one day, in which I have the ability to recreate home-cooked meals for folks all over the city. My desire with this work is to give people a sense of home while they spend time at the cafes.
