Staff Profile: Ryan Vicario - Blueprint Coffee

Ryan has been a Barista Team Lead at our Delmar location and an important part of the team since 2022.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT THE CAFÉ, AND WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE JOB?

My favorite part of the job is hanging out and having fun with my coworkers. I value the close friendships and the shared passion for coffee. I also enjoy geeking out over coffee with Blueprint customers.

WHAT PROMPTED YOUR INTEREST IN COFFEE?

I have always been a coffee fan. I can’t start my morning without it! Throughout my time at Blueprint, I have enjoyed learning about specialty coffee, and I am excited to expand my knowledge through continued education.

IF YOU COULD ENJOY A CUP OF COFFEE WITH ANYONE IN THE WORLD, WHO WOULD IT BE?

I would definitely choose Jack Black. I think he is the coolest.

WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO COFFEE ORDER AT BLUEPRINT?

My go-to is usually an oat milk cappuccino. Lately, I have been hooked on our Big Muddy (sub-oat milk for the cream!)

WHAT ARE YOUR PASSIONS OUTSIDE OF COFFEE?

I’m a huge homebody, so outside of coffee, I really like hanging out at home with my fiancé and just reading Manga or playing video games.

ANY FACTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE ABOUT YOURSELF?

I grew up in Chicago before moving to Saint Louis two years ago, and I recently got engaged! I am super excited about that!! I’m also working on completing my degree in Graphic Information Technology from ASU.

HOPES, DREAMS, DESIRES FOR THE FUTURE?

I am about to finish my degree this December. It’s a graphic design degree with a focus on front-end web development and design. I hope to one day be working in the design industry and use my skills to work with coffee shops.
