We’re packing our bags and boxes for an exciting week in Atlanta attending the SCAA Expo. This event once again features the United States Coffee Championships. Our own Radames Roldan qualified for the Barista Championships back in February.

Radames and the Blueprint team have been up late for the past two months practicing after we close the shop. This event constantly encourages us to improve our craft and better understand our coffees.

We will be in Atlanta for the entire event (Thursday – Sunday). In addition to supporting Radames, we’re sponsoring the championships and will be serving delicious drip coffee in the competition arena for the duration of the event. Please stop by, say hello, and try the coffees. We’ll be serving Alvaro Losada, Kinyovu, and TOARCO. We may even be able to convince Radames to let us brew some of his competition coffee – the unusual and adventurous castillo natural from Elkin Guzman.

Radames will compete in the first round on Friday at 1:57pm central time (he is competitor 19). You can likely watch the stream at uscoffeechampionships.org or follow along at sprudgelive.com – semi-finals and finals will follow on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, should he advance.
