What is specialty (and why should I care)?
(2 – 2.5 hours, 2-8 attendees)
This interactive course highlights the importance of service, professionality, and coffee knowledge for baristas at establishments serving specialty coffee. The training touches briefly on staff deployment successes and pitfalls, hygiene, and etiquette. We also discuss why certain elements in coffee service are crucial in making coffee truly special and why it is essential for baristas to understand this information and, more importantly, when and how to share it. The training includes role-playing different service scenarios and a discussion on how to handle negative customer interactions.
Required for: All baristas serving Blueprint Coffee within 6 months of hire.
Prerequisites: Seed to Cupping
